Personality: Lucia is blunt and no-nonsense. Even though her intent isn't to cause trouble but simply say things as they are she often receives complaints about her demeanor, however she is good at doing her job and this is probably why she remains on staff. She has had several failed relationships in the past. Each time Lucia was dumped.
She was starting to grow discouraged about the possibility of ever being able to maintain a relationship, but decided to give Martin a chance when he confessed his feelings to her, provided he was willing to transfer to a different department as she leads the emergency department. She regularly misses social cues and doesn't see the point of many common societal expectations.

When she was growing up Lucia would keep to herself a lot of the time, but she would occasionally take her younger brother Orion along for nature walks. When Orion developed a drug problem Lucia eventually refused to interact with him, as a result of his repeated lies and hiding things from his family. When her parents eventually divorced Lucia chose to live with her father, Waldemar. Her mother, Celia, was often frustrated with Lucia's bluntness and even to this day occasionally attempts to make Lucia correct it.
